African Whistle Blowers Anti Corruption Conference 2025
African Whistle Blowers Anti-Corruption Conference 2025 (AWACC)
Advancing Transparency. Protecting Whistleblowers. Building Africa’s Future.
The African Whistleblowers & Anti-Corruption Conference (AWACC) is a continental platform dedicated to advancing transparency, accountability, and integrity in governance. Its core mission is to empower and protect whistleblowers across Africa — ordinary citizens who bravely speak up against corruption, fraud, and abuse.
Corruption continues to undermine development, weaken democratic institutions, and erode public trust across the continent. Yet, whistleblowers often face intimidation, retaliation, or lack of legal protection. AWACC was created to change this reality by offering a safe space for dialogue, advocacy, knowledge-sharing, and coalition-building around whistleblower protection and anti-corruption reform.
Our Mission
To empower whistleblowers, strengthen protection systems, and advance Africa’s anti-corruption agenda through collaboration, research, and action.
Our Vision
An Africa where whistleblowers are recognized, protected, and celebrated as champions of transparency and accountability — and where corruption no longer hinders growth and development.
2025 Theme
“Whistleblower Protection and Integrity Systems: Building Trust for Africa’s Development.”
This theme underscores the urgent need to safeguard whistleblowers, strengthen legal frameworks, and build public trust as a foundation for sustainable development in Africa.
