Delta 2019 – Chief Osiobe Okotie Visit’s APC State Leader, Chief Hycent Enuoha.

Chief Osiobe Okotie, a Frontline APC governorship hopeful and 1st deputy president general of Urhobo progress Union (UPU), who recently declared his governorship ambition at the swearing in of the state caucus and members of committees of the APC, has in line with his consultations paid a consultation visit to  foremost leader of the party from Delta north, Chief Hycent Enuoha to brief him of his intention to contest the Delta governorship seat in 2019.

Whistle blowers reports that Chief Osiobe Okotie took his preliminary consultation to the state leader of the APC in Delta north, where he formally informed him of his ambition.

“My visit is to fraternize with our great leader in the State and inform him of my intention to contest the state’s governorship seat come 2019,” he said.

While soliciting for his support, he commended Chief Hycent Enuoha for ensuring peace and unity in the party, saying that it has strengthen the support base of the party and enhance our chances to win the governorship seat and provide quality governance for Deltans come 2019.

He likened himself to King David who despite his age and status was anointed by God to deliver his people out of the hands of the enemies while describing his entrance into the race as a divine call from God to rescue Deltans.

Chief Osiobe in his remark further said he has never joined a political party or done any government contract in his life ones, he said he is pained by what Deltans are going through despite being one of the highest oil producing state in the country. According to the gubernatorial aspirant he posited that what Deltans need now is a new crop of leaders and not political Jobbers or contractors.

He frowned at the acute under development and corruption in Delta state and promised to change the fortune of Deltans by providing purposeful leadership when voted in by 2019

Chief OSIOBE appealed to party faithfuls to respect constituted authority and embrace peace irrespective of ethnic, religious and political inclinations.

Responding, the Chief Hycent Enuoha, said that the floor was open for aspirants to test their popularity, stressing that no one had been anointed by any group or persons.

“He said he will support any credible candidate capable of bringing the much desired development; at the right time, we shall sit down, examine the options, and make our stance known,” he said.

He urged the aspirant to play by the rules in the interest of peace and national development while giving the assurances that there must and will be a level playing ground for all aspirants.

Chief Enuoha describes, Chief Osiobe Okotie as a humble man with good heart and reiterated confidence in his ability to deliver the dividends of democracy. He further stated that Deltans must rise above ethnic politics and support good governance as epitomized by the APC government.

While assuring Chief Osiobe of his support at all time he offered prayer for God to grant him his heart desires and give him the will to deliver the party and Deltans come 2019.

In a similar vein the president generals of Urhobo kingdom last week threw thier weight behind Chief Osiobe ambition and stress the need for Urhobos to queue behind one candidate come 2019.

Speaking on behalf of all the president generals, the Chairman of the president general forum,Dr Obakponovwe said that it is time for Urhobos to speak in one voice and support a particular candidate while calling on every Urhobo sons and daughters to support and give Chief Osiobe Okotie a Chance.
